竞赛简介
Brief Introduction
WUPENiCity城市设计学生作业国际竞赛与城市可持续调研报告国际竞赛由世界规划教育组织（World Urban Planning Education Network）、联合国教科文组织iCity网站（UNESCO-iCity Website）、Guihua 杂志联合举办。
2021年面向全球高校城乡规划及相关专业在读学生（包括但不限于城乡规划、建筑学、风景园林、环境设计、服务设计、工业设计）。
旨在鼓励理论与实践的结合，增强学生将规划设计知识与生态环境、经济发展、社会进步等多方面结合的专业能力。欢迎跨国、跨专业、跨年级学生组队参赛，促进规划设计教育的发展和国际间的开放交流。
2021 WUPENiCity International Competition on Students Course Works of Urban Design and WUPENiCity International Competition on Urban Sustainability Reports is co-organized by WUPEN (World Urban Planning Education Network), UNESCO-iCity Website, Guihua Journal.
This year, the competitions are open to all students major in urban planning and related disciplines. We aim to enhance students’ capacities in connecting planning and design knowledge with practical issues in ecological environment, economic growth, social progress.
At the same time, we encourage international students and cross-disciplinary students to join this competition, to promote the development of international planning and design education as well as open communication among students.

Main Theme
2021年城市可持续调研报告国际竞赛不作主题限制，针对城市可持续发展和城市规划与建设，采用调查研究的多种方法，发现客观现实中的问题、规律即可。
2021年城市设计学生作业国际竞赛主题为“未来智慧家园”，要求参赛者以独特、新颖的视角解析主题的内涵，以全面、系统的专业素质进行城市设计。
There is no limitation of the theme in the competition so long as the content addresses to sustainable development, urban planning and construction and the findings could make contribution to reveal either facts, problems, or proceeding laws. The multiple research methods, such as interviews, questionnaires, case analysis, and so on are encouraged.
The topic of Competition on Students Course Works of Urban Design concentrates on “Intelligent JiaYuan of Future”. Participants are required to submit urban design works with unique and innovative perspectives, and a set of comprehensive and professional methods.
主题释义：“家园”是中国人对于城市最基础社会空间的共同认知，如何在家园中通过合理的资源分配与空间规划实现人与自然的和谐共处、人与人的和谐共享、物质与精神的和谐共生是人类追求美好生活的永恒议题。
“智慧”是在当代智能技术革命背景下，家园未来发展所必须考虑的维度，包括智慧居住、智慧交通、智慧教育、智慧医疗、智慧科研、智慧服务等方面。如何实现真正的智慧家园，为百姓解决痛点，为社会创造价值，是当代规划师、设计师需要掌握的思维方式和实践能力。
“JiaYuan” is the most basic and essential unit of urban social space for Chinese, and there is challenging but eternal efforts to coordinate human and nature, encourage the sharing among people, and the coexist the material and the spirit through resources reallocation in the form of community planning to reach a better life.
“Intelligent” is the new trend on advent of technology revolution, which is also a term with complexity including smart living, smart transportation, smart education, smart medical care, smart scientific research, smart services, etc. It is of significant importance to truly realize the Intelligent JiaYuan(Community), solve the most caring problem for the people, and add up social value , which are critical for the transformation of the thinking modes and practical abilities of the planners and designers.
城市设计竞赛基地说明
Base Description
城市设计学生作业竞赛参赛者应围绕“未来智慧家园”这一主题，选定规划基地（不大于1km²），进行基地和主题的解读，开展方案设计。可自选基地，也可选择组委会推荐基地（推荐基地获奖方案有望落地实施）。
You can choose your own base or the base recommended by the organizing committee (no larger than 1km2, and the award-winning works using the recommended base will be expected to be implemented).
